Hands Poker Rankings

More details about the winning card combinations or hands used at most poker game versions. Just as in any other gambling game like slot machines or US lottery industry games or online roulette tips may be learned only after having familiarized with the gaming glossary. The object of each poker version is to obtain the strongest cards combination or hand from the hole (pocket) cards and community cards. Here we give the hands poker rankings from the the highest to lowest one. To describe the examples of the combinations we applied these shortenings: H - Hearts, S - Spades, C - Clubs, D - Diamonds, K - King, Q - Queen, A - Ace, J - Jack.

Royal Flush is considered to be the strongest poker hand with the highest hands poker rank. It is in fact the straight flush (the sequence of cards of one suit) from Ace to 10: AH, KH, QH, JH, 10H.

Straight Flush is five cards in sequence from one suit. For example: 9D, 10D, JD, QD, KD.

Four of a Kind is the poker hand that contains four cards of one rank. The suit doesn’t matter. For instance: AS, AD, AC, AH, KH.

Full House is the poker hand that contains three cards from one value and two cards from another rank no matter their suit. For instance: 10S, 10D, 8S, 8D, 8C.

Flush is the hand that contains five cards from the same suit. For instance: 4C, 5C, 7C, 10C, QC.

Straight has five cards in succession no matter the suit. In Straight Ace is counted as the highest and lowest card. For example: 6S, 7D, 8C, 9C, 10H.

Two Pair is poker hand which has two cards of the same rank and two cards with another value. In Two Pair the suit doesn’t matter. For example: 5C, 5D, 10S, 10D, AH.

One Pair consists of two cards with the same rank. For instance: 9D, 9S, 7S, 5H, 2H.

High Card is the hand that does not contain any of the mentioned above cards combinations. According to the hands poker rankings this is the lowest poker combination. The strength of this hand is determined by the highest card. For instance: AH, QC, JD, 9S, 5C. As you understand, this is the most frequent hand with the highest chances to occur in the next deal.
